Susan Hoovler, FNP-C, Joins Capehart Community Health Center

Susan Hoovler, MSN, FNP-C, Family Nurse Practitioner, has joined the medical staff of PCHC’s Capehart Community Health Center, 86 Davis Road, Bangor, as Clinical Leader for that practice.  Ms. Hoovler’s practice centers on all aspects of high-quality medical care, including patient physicals, acute visits, minor office procedures, women’s health, and health care maintenance.

 Ms. Hoovler received her undergraduate degree from Villanova University and her Masters of Science in Nursing Degree in Family Practice from the University of Florida.  Ms. Hoovler has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2005 and has more than 30 years of experience in the nursing field. Prior to joining Penobscot Community Health Care, Ms. Hoovler was employed as a health care provider at C.A. Dean Memorial Hospital.  Robert Allen, MD, PCHC’s Executive Medical Director, states, “PCHC is very pleased to have Susan Hoovler, FNP-C, take over as the Clinical Lead for the Capehart Community Health Center.  Susan brings with her a great combination of experience and empathy and will be very much appreciated by patients who come to Capehart.”

Susan Hoovler, MSN, FNP-C, a certified member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the Maine Nurse Practitioner Association, will be seeing patients at Capehart Community Health Center; for an appointment please call 207-992-2205.  Capehart Community Health Center is staffed by a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide medical care, mental health, and dental hygiene services.  The practice is open Monday through Friday and patients have access to evening and weekend care at PCHC’s three Walk-In Care Centers, as well as access to Pharmacy, Dental, and Specialty Services.
