Old Town, Maine – Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Walton, DPT, Physical Therapist, has joined the providers and staff at Helen Hunt Health Center at 242 Brunswick Street, Old Town. Dr. Walton’s specialty practice centers on all aspects of high-quality physical therapy and involves treatment to improve mobility and function, and help reduce pain.
Dr. Walton received both his undergraduate degree and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Husson University, and completed extensive clinical training locally in Bangor and Dover-Foxcroft as well as in Connecticut. When he’s not seeing patients, Jeff enjoys sports or training activities, weight-lifting, hiking, and biking.
Dr. Walton’s patient care philosophy focuses on improved quality of life. He states, “It’s most important to me to listen to the patient and find out what they would like to accomplish through their physical therapy treatment so that I can optimize their outcomes. I bring high-energy to sessions and a variety of exercise-based treatment. I want my patients to enjoy physical therapy as much as possible so they can benefit from the good work they are doing and the care they are receiving.”
Susan Cheff, Medical Director, Helen Hunt Health Center, states, “We are so pleased that Jeff has joined our physical therapy team to serve patients and the community with the care and treatment they need. Whether preventing or treating injury, providing post-surgical care, or helping to improve strength, flexibility, balance and function, Jeff is sure to provide care that is tailored to the individual.”
