Michele Broadhurst, DC, Chiropractor, Joins PCHC
Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) is pleased to announce that Michele Broadhurst, DC, has joined the providers and staff at Penobscot Community Health Center, 1012 Union Street, Bangor.
Dr. Broadhurst has over 15 years of experience as a Chiropractor and is dedicated to providing compassionate, effective medical care to patients suffering from chronic pain. Her practice involves a variety of treatment approaches and adjustments to the spine and other areas of the body in order to help improve alignment and movement, alleviate pain, and assist in the body’s natural healing process. She cares for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, with a variety of evidenced-based, non-surgical, musculoskeletal treatments.
Originally from South Africa, Dr. Broadhurst received her degree in Chiropractic medicine from Durban University of Technology in South Africa, and, together with her husband – also a chiropractor – went on to run a successful multidisciplinary practice in Cape Town for over a decade. Their family practice specialized in Chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, and myofascial release. Dr. Broadhurst and her husband moved to Maine in 2017. She is also certified in acupuncture and can use this as a pain relief option when treating patients at PCHC.

PCHC’s Chiropractic Services are open to PCHC patients and non-patients, and are also available in Brewer and Old Town. PCHC accepts all insurances, including Mainecare and Medicare. Penobscot Community Health Center is open seven days per week and, in addition to Chiropractic Care, offers Family Medical Care, Walk-in Care, Mental Health Services, On-Site Pharmacy, Women’s Health, Care Management, and Lab Services.
