Ways you can help during the COVID-19 pandemic – Donate Personal Protective Equipment and Cloth Masks
Show that you care for our community and wear a mask to keep our region healthy!
Our region’s health and human services leaders encourage you to follow the CDC’s recommendation to wear a mask in public spaces and try your best to keep 6 feet apart from others.
Wearing a reusable, cloth face covering and staying socially distant in public is an easy way to show your care for others and to help control the spread of COVID-19.
It’s time to Mask Up for ME.

Other ways you can help during the COVID-19 pandemic – Donate Personal Protective Equipment and Cloth Masks
There is a nation-wide shortage of personal protective equipment for health care teams, and we would gratefully accept any donation of the following items:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Surgical Masks
- N95 masks
- Gowns of any size
- Gloves (no latex)
- Face shields, goggles or safety glasses with sides
Homemade Cloth Face Masks
The CDC and Maine Governor’s office recently recommended that people in our area should wear facemasks when in public and whenever unable to maintain social distance. In keeping with this guidance, PCHC is asking for your help with this as well. We will accept and distribute homemade cloth masks to our teams.
Here is some important guidance:
- Please follow a similar template to this example offered by the CDC:
CDC CLOTH FACE MASK PATTERN & ADVICE for public – how to make a cloth face mask and how to properly use and care for one. - You may use a different pattern, but we ask that you use, at minimum, two layers of cotton. Please use only latex-free elastic.
- Put masks in a plastic zip bag or grocery bag.
We will be accepting masks beginning Wednesday, April 8th. Anyone may drop off donations in the receptacle marked PPE DONATIONS outside the main entrance at Auburn Hall, 103 Maine Ave in Bangor.
We would love it if you took a picture with your donated masks or PPE items and tag us!
