PCHC Receives $5,000 Plum Creek Grant to Support Jackman Community Health Center

Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) is pleased to announce that the Trustees of the Plum Creek Foundation recently awarded a $5,000 grant to help fund a HVAC Installation Project at Jackman Community Health Center.  Jackman Community Health Center is located at 376 Main Street, Jackman, and is staffed by Patricia Doyle, MD, and Anna Babiarz, PA-C.

Kenneth Schmidt, MPA, PCHC President and CEO, states, “We are grateful for the continued support of the Plum Creek Foundation as we work to provide the people of the Jackman region with the highest quality health care in a setting that is comfortable and accessible.”

Mark Doty, Community Affairs Manager for Plum Creek Timber Company, states, “We are delighted to be able to support the Jackman Community Health Center and the communities where the Plum Creek operates and where our employees live and work.”

Jackman Community Health Center is open 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, with extended hours until 7pm on Thursday, and also offers 24/7 urgent care. The practice provides health care for over 1,000 patients with almost 4,000 patient visits each year and is the only primary care provider within 50 miles. The center recently underwent major renovations and offers family medicine, dental hygiene, pharmacy services, x-ray, 24/7 urgent care, mental health, and substance abuse services.  The practice joined PCHC in February 2014.
