Brewer School Based Health Center to Host Health Fair
PCHC’s Brewer School Based Health Center is hosting its 5th Annual Health Fair at the Brewer Community School on Tuesday, April 15, 8am-2pm. The event focuses on health and safety and will feature several area businesses and organizations, including the Bangor Y, Spruce Run, Healthy Maine Partnerships, Sam’s Club, Operation Life Saver, and UMaine, among others. The Health Fair is geared toward children in Grades 5-8 and will cover topics ranging from bullying, nutrition, brain injury prevention, fire safety, dental care, physical activity, and many more. Details: Several area businesses and organizations, as well as students, will be on-hand to cover a variety of health and safety topics. Geared toward students grade 5-8.
In partnership with the Brewer School Department, Penobscot Community Health Care operates three school based practices in Brewer – one at the beautiful new Community School for grades pre-k through eighth grade, another at Brewer High School for grades nine through twelve, and at Brewer’s alternative high school “ALPHA” program. Each practice offers medical services, mental health counseling, and dental hygiene services.
