Event Details
Date:   Sunday, December 21st
Time:   4:45pm
Location: Hammond Street Congregational Church, 28 High Street, Bangor
Details: Homeless Vigil, followed by brief memorial and time of remembrance those who passed away in homelessness this year.

Like many other communities across America, Bangor citizens and organizations will pause and acknowledge the passing of people who died without having a real home during the last twelve months. Most died alone, silently, and without public recognition. To remember our friends, the Homeless Vigil has been organized on the first day of winter and the longest night of the year. Those who come to the Church will experience a special service, including music and personal reflections from folks who have experienced homelessness.

Everyone is welcome to join us for this family friendly event. Those planning to come should ensure that their families are dressed warmly (for a brief time assembling outside the Church). It is possible there will be a large crowd.

Thank you to local businesses and community members who provided refreshments. Volunteers are still needed to help with the event. Please contact Ann Giggey, Hope House Manager, at 207-217-6713 if interested in volunteering.
