Dawn Cook Named PCHC’s Chief Operations Officer
We are pleased to announce that Dawn Cook has been named PCHC’s Chief Operations Officer. Ms. Cook has served since 2012 as a senior leader and for over a year as PCHC’s Chief Practice Officer, overseeing all PCHC practices and direct patient/client services. As a member of PCHC’s Executive Leadership team, Ms. Cook provides oversight of and works collaboratively with PCHC’s Practice Directors and other leaders to standardize operations and achieve very high levels of patient care, customer service and operational quality.
Kenneth Schmidt, MPA, President and CEO, states, “PCHC is extremely fortunate to have a senior leader of Ms. Cook’s experience, qualification, and systems, financial, and managements skills as COO.”
Ms. Cook has 30 years of experience in health care management, and previously worked to develop a new, non-profit corporation, Health Access Network (HAN) in Lincoln, Maine, where she served as Chief Executive Officer. During her tenure at HAN, the staff grew from 25 to 110 employees. Ms. Cook attended Husson College in Bangor, and Saint Joseph’s College in Standish. She has served on the executive boards of the Maine Primary Care Association, Penquis CAP, and has engaged in a number of collaborative projects with local hospitals and healthcare organizations.
