Bangor, Maine – Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) is hosting free educational sessions on the Health Insurance Marketplace in Bangor, Brewer, and Old Town. Certified Application Counselors are available to help you apply for health insurance through the federal Marketplace.
From January 27 until the end of the open enrollment period on March 31, you can make an appointment from 5 pm – 7 pm at one of our sites in Bangor, Brewer or Old Town to meet with a Certified Application Counselor. Our trained representatives will be available to answer questions, address any concerns, and assist with enrollment.

Monday and Thursday, 5 pm – 7 pm
Helen Hunt Health Center: 242 Brunswick Street, Old Town (Walk-In Care Entrance)
Tuesdays, 5 pm – 7 pm
Penobscot Community Health Center: 1012 Union Street, Suite 3, Bangor (Walk-In Care Entrance)
Wednesdays, 5 pm – 7 pm

As part of the Affordable Care Act, Health Insurance Marketplaces will be offering quality, affordable health care plans for Maine people. Mainers are encouraged to visit HealthCare.gov to complete the streamlined application and enroll in a plan, enroll207.com to learn more about the specific health insurance plans available to them. The Maine Health Insurance Marketplace includes new health plans offered by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, as well as Maine’s new nonprofit health insurer, Maine Community Health Options.
