Need Health Insurance Through the Federal Marketplace?
PCHC’s Outreach and Enrollment team is gearing up for a very busy Marketplace Open Enrollment Period where they help patients and the public sign up for health insurance through the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace. Open Enrollment will run from November 1, 2015 to January 31, 2016. Temporary assisters have been hired to ensure there are enough hands on deck during this time to help PCHC patients, as well as community members that contact us.
Marketplace health insurance discounts are available for a range of income levels and family sizes. If you or anyone you know needs health insurance and would like assistance with the application process, please contact PCHC’s Outreach and Enrollment Specialists at 207-404-8000, ext. 2005.
During last year’s open enrollment period, PCHC fielded 10,600 calls and provided 1,300 appointments where people successfully enrolled in Marketplace health insurance. Another 4,300 people were assisted with the application process. This year, we hope to help many of PCHC’s 8,000 uninsured patients and thousands of uninsured Mainers in need of health insurance.
As part of the Affordable Care Act, the Health Insurance Marketplace will be offering quality, affordable health care plans for Maine people. Mainers without insurance are encouraged to visit HealthCare.gov to complete the streamlined application and enroll in a plan or visit enroll207.com to learn more about the specific health insurance plans available in Maine.
