PCHC Awarded Northeast Delta Dental Foundation Grant
PCHC is pleased to announce that the board of the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation has approved a grant of $9,933 to help PCHC’s Dental Center fund dental sedation for patients without insurance coverage for this service.
The Northeast Delta Dental Foundation is committed to helping improve access to oral health care, and has partnered with Penobscot Community Health Care on a number of projects to support this, including the recent expansion of an oral sedation suite at PCHC’s Dental Center at 1048 Union Street, Bangor.
Philip Higgins, Jr., DMD, Chief Dental Officer, states, “Without the support from the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation, PCHC would not be able to provide this unique service to a segment of our patient population that greatly needs it. This is the end result of what private practitioners and their affiliation with Delta Dental contribute to the world of public health dentistry. We are very appreciative of that.”
