PCHC Dental Center Welcomes New Residents
We are pleased to announce that three new General Practice Dental Residents have joined PCHC Dental Center, 1048 Union Street, Bangor, under the direction of Terri Bell, DDS, MS, MBA, Dental Residency Program Director. PCHC welcomes Isatu Bah, DDS, Christopher Ford, DMD, and Matthew Janda, DDS. PCHC graduated Stephanie Pouzol, DMD, Michael Cabral, DMD, and Alexis MacKenzie, DDS from the General Practice Dental Residency at a ceremony on June 29th.
Terri Bell, DDS, MS, MBA, Dental Residency Program Director, states, “What a great group of residents – both inbound and out! Drs. Cabral, MacKenzie, and Pouzol have been exceptional representatives for themselves, the profession, and the PCHC community as a whole. We expect to continue to hear great things about them as they advance in their careers as health care providers. Similarly, the incoming residency class promises to bring new enthusiasm, a depth of compassion, and a fresh drive to make a difference for the patients that we serve. It is an exciting time them and also an exciting time for PCHC.”
The General Practice Dental Residents are fully licensed dentists who have chosen to participate in an additional year of training at an accredited Dental Center. PCHC began the General Practice Dental Residency Program in 2009 to address the dental workforce shortage in Maine and to attract qualified dental professionals to the area. The program has proven successful and a number of graduates have joined PCHC full-time or have stayed to practice in Maine.
PCHC Dental Center is the largest public or private dental practice north of Boston, and host to an Accredited Community General Practice Dental Residency.
