PCHC Names Employee of the Year, Hosts Employee Appreciation BBQs
PCHC is pleased to announce that Kate Francis, MA, Clinical Coordinator, Summer Street Health Center, was voted Employee of the Year by her fellow employees during PCHC’s Employee Appreciation Events. The Employee of the Year at PCHC is chosen for embodying the finest spirit and mission of Penobscot Community Health Care. Ms. Francis, an employee of PCHC since 2007, was chosen for her or her tireless advocacy, determination, and hard work, as well as her exceptional caring and compassion for persons who are homeless.
PCHC hosted Employee Appreciation BBQs throughout the month of August to emphasize the importance that each employee plays in providing high-quality health care that is comprehensive, integrated, and accessible for our many patients. During the events, fifty employees received awards for their years of dedicated service to PCHC. PCHC employees are committed to quality and safety for their patients and have demonstrated this by earning Joint Commission Accreditation and national certification by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as Patient Centered Medical Homes.
The Employee Recognition Events provide an opportunity to thank each employee, from across the organization, who works tirelessly to meet our mission and such high standards of care. PCHC has more than 700 employees, including about 180 health care providers working in 16 practices.
