Peter Millard, MD, PhD, joins Seaport Community Health Center

Peter Millard, MD, PhD, has joined the staff of PCHC’s Seaport Community Health Center, 41 Wight Street, Belfast.  Dr. Millard’s practice centers on all aspects of high-quality medical care, including patient physicals, acute visits, and health care maintenance.

Dr. Millard received his undergraduate degree from Amherst College and his Medical Degree from the University of Vermont, College of Medicine.  Dr. Millard currently serves as Adjunct Professor at the University of New England, Graduate Program in Public Health, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Preventive Medicine and the National Board of Medical Examiners, as well as a Fellow of the American Board of Family Medicine.  Prior to joining Penobscot Community Health Care, Dr. Millard served as Attending Physician at EMMC’s Department of Family Medicine and held several professorships.  Robert Allen, MD, PCHC’s Executive Medical Director, states, “Dr. Peter Millard is an outstanding and very experienced family physician who was formerly on the faculty of the Eastern Maine Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program for many years.  For the past 5 years he has been doing mission work in Mozambique helping their medical school establish an outpatient clinic.”

Dr. Millard is seeing patients at Seaport Community Health Center; for an appointment please call 338-6900.  Seaport Community Health Center is open Monday-Friday from 7am-8pm and on Saturdays from 8am-1pm, and in addition to family medical care, offers Integrated Medicine, Geriatric Care, Care Management, Psychiatry, and Mental Health Services.
