Quirk Subaru Shares the Love with PCHC’s Hope House

Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC)’s Hope House Health and Living Center was pleased to receive a generous donation of $34,650 from Subaru of America and Quirk Subaru as part of the 2018 Subaru Share the Love Campaign at a check presentation on Wednesday.  From November 15, 2018 and January 2, 2019, Subaru of America and Quirk Subaru pledged to donate $300 for every new Subaru purchased or leased to PCHC’s Hope House and Living Center in support of those facing homeless, food insecurity, and medical, mental health, and substance abuse issues in the greater Bangor region.   In addition, Quirk Subaru “Shared the Warmth” by asking customers and community members to fill a Subaru Forester with warm clothing items for guests, patients, and tenants of the Hope House.

Lori Dwyer, PCHC President and CEO, stated, “For the second year in a row, PCHC’s Hope House Health and Living Center was honored to be Subaru America and Quirk Subaru’s hometown charity as part of the Share the Love Campaign.  Quirk Subaru and Quirk Auto Group do so much to positively impact and change our community for the better.  Their continued generosity and support will do so much to help the guests, patients, and tenants of the Hope House – often the most vulnerable among us – by allowing us a greater capacity to provide safe housing, nutritious meals, medical and mental health care, substance use disorder treatment, and education and employment counseling.”
