Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy
Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy (OMT) is a hands-on method of therapy used by Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) to diagnose and treat illness or injury. Through OMT, Osteopathic physicians apply pressure, stretching, and resistance techniques to manipulate muscle or joints.
OMT can be used to ease pain, increase mobility, and promote healing. It’s often used to treat muscle pain, and can sometimes replace the need for drugs or surgery. OMT can provide great therapeutic benefits.
PCHC has several providers of Osteopathic Medicine. Contact your primary care provider for a referral to this specialty service.
