Unlimited Solutions Clubhouse Achieves Accreditation
PCHC is pleased to announce that Unlimited Solutions Clubhouse, a service of PCHC, has achieved accreditation through Clubhouse International. In a letter sent from Joel Cocoran, President of Clubhouse International, Joel states “As you know Clubhouse International Accreditation involves an evaluation of the Clubhouse in terms of fidelity to the International Standards for Clubhouse Programs”. The accreditation process included an extensive Self Study process, a Clubhouse Profile Questionnaire and a 4 day site visit from Clubhouse International Faculty members, Mr. Ralph Bilby and Ms. Anita Anderson.
Overall strengths were identified as the following in the report:
- A welcoming Clubhouse community that is positive, engaging, and excited by the arrival of every person
- An impressive core group of members who are dedicated to the success of the Clubhouse
- An energetic, well led team of staff, united in their vision and commitment to a great Clubhouse
- A young Clubhouse community determined to continue ambitious development
- The strong priority of relationship building through Unit meetings and side-by-side work
- A highly supportive auspice agency, PCHC, as well as a strong Advisory Board
- Experience in assisting and supporting many members working and going to school in the community
- An excellent use of the Clubhouse method of decision making by consensus throughout the various forums of the Clubhouse day
“We are very excited to have done so well in the accreditation process being so young. The members and staff have worked extremely hard to make the Clubhouse a successful and I am fortunate to be a part of it” said Executive Director, Carrie Lemos. Amy, a current member states “It is great and gives us even more incentive to move forward with our goals of additional space and additional Transitional Employment Placements.”
