Eric Buch Joins PCHC Board of Directors
PCHC is pleased to announce that Mr. Eric Buch, Director of Operations, Four Directions Development Corporation (FDDC), has joined its Board of Directors. Ms. Jennifer Eastman, Esq., PCHC Board Chair, states, “Mr. Buch brings tremendous experience in social services and close connections to our community. We are thrilled to have Mr. Buch as a board member and representing PCHC from the Waldo County region where our newest practice, Seaport Community Health Center, is located.
Prior to joining FDDC in 2011, Mr. Buch served as Planning and Development Director with Waldo Community Action Partners in Belfast and spent a total of 27 years with local United Ways, holding executive and senior staff positions in Bangor and Bath, Maine; Worcester, Massachusetts; and Windsor, Ontario. A native of Montreal, Mr. Buch received his undergraduate degree in social history from the University of Western Ontario and his Master of Community Planning from the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. He is also a graduate of the Delta class of Leadership Maine.
Mr. Buch was a founding board member of both the Maine Philanthropy Center and the Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP), and he remains a member of the MANP Advisory Council. From 2006-09 he represented Waldo County on the Maine Commission for Community Service. He serves on Board of Directors of Good Will-Hinckley, sponsor of the Maine Academy for Natural Sciences, the State’s first charter school, and chairs the Board’s Governance Committee.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), PCHC’s Board of Directors serves as its governing body, responsible for financial oversight, strategic planning, defining mission and services, and ensuring compliance with legal and financial requirements, among other responsibilities.
