Dr. Robert Allen to Receive MHMC’s 20 in 20 Award
PCHC is pleased to announce that Robert P. Allen MD, MHCM, FACC, Executive Medical Director has been named to Maine Health Management Coalition’s (MHMC) 20 in 20 list of influential health care leaders and is slated to receive the award at MHMC’s Annual Symposium on October 10th.
The contest, which opened in June of this year, was held in commemoration of Maine Health Management Coalition’s 20th anniversary, and sought to recognize individuals from around the state that have made significant contributions to the Coalition’s goals of improving population health, experience of care, and cost of health care services in Maine. The winners were selected from a pool of applicants across the state and were judged by a panel of national health care improvement specialists.

Robert P. Allen, MD, MHCM, FACC, has been with PCHC since 2006 and was previously with Northeast Cardiology Associates for 30 years. Dr. Allen has a Masters in Healthcare Management from Harvard. He has served as President of the EMMC Medical Staff, Medical Director of EMMC Cardiac Wellness of Maine, Chief of Cardiology and Chief of Medicine of St. Joseph Hospital, and President of the Maine affiliate of the American Heart Association.
