Our dedicated community volunteers who serve on the Board of Directors donate hundreds of hours to further the mission of PCHC.
Board Chair Mark Woodward, joined PCHC’s Board in 2011 and is an active member in our community, currently serving as chairman of the boards for Eastern Maine Development Corp., and the Maine Discovery Museum. He is treasurer and trustee for the Bangor Public Library, a board member of the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame and serves as a lay member of the Advisory Committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct for the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
Mark received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Maine, and was employed by the Bangor Daily News for 38 years, where he held the positions of reporter, editorial page editor and for the last 12 years before his retirement, executive editor. Mark also served in Washington D.C. during the 205th Congress as Senator Susan M. Collins’ first communications director. Mark enjoys fly fishing, cross-country skiing, sea kayaking and ice hockey. He lives in Bangor with his wife, Bridget, and the couple has three grown children.
