Jackman Community Health Center Receives $5,000 Grant from Maine Community Foundation

We are pleased to announce that Jackman Community Health Center has received $5,000 from the Western Mountains Fund of the Maine Community Foundation to support outreach and development efforts for raising community awareness that the practice now offers x-ray services.  With these efforts, PCHC hopes more patients will be seen locally for x-ray services than in distant towns, and that those needing primary care will be enrolled for those services as well.  Local x-ray services can help reduce travel of an hour or more for community members.

X-rays services at Jackman Community Health Center are available to patients and the community and are provided by a Licensed Radiology Technician. Jackman Community Health Center is located at 376 Main Street, Jackman, and is staffed by Patricia Doyle, MD, and Anya Babiarz, PA-C. The practice is open 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, with extended hours until 7pm on Thursday, and also offers 24/7 urgent care.

Kenneth Schmidt, MPA, President and CEO, states, “We appreciate the Maine Community Foundation’s generous support of our efforts to raise awareness within the Jackman Community that x-ray services are again conveniently and locally available.”

Jackman Community Health Center provides health care for over 1,000 patients with almost 4,000 patient visits each year and is the only primary care provider within 50 miles. The center offers family medicine, dental hygiene, pharmacy services, x-ray, 24/7 urgent care, mental health, and substance abuse services.  The practice joined PCHC in February 2014.
