Kelley Strout, PhD, RN, Joins PCHC Board of Directors
We are pleased to announce that Kelley Strout, PhD, RN, has joined our Board of Directors. Dr. Strout is Assistant Professor at the University of Maine, School of Nursing where she is actively involved in the health needs of the greater Bangor community and coordinates all clinical placements for community and public health at UMaine School of Nursing.
Dr. Strout received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Maine, School of Nursing, and a PhD in Nursing from Northeastern University, Bouvé College of Health Sciences. Dr. Strout’s clinical and scientific career has focused on promoting health and well-being through non-pharmacological, holistic, wellness interventions.
Mr. Mark Woodward, PCHC Board Chair, states, “Dr. Strout is passionate about health and wellness and invested in strengthening community-based care models. We are so pleased that Kelley has volunteered for our Board, not only for the exceptional clinical expertise that she brings, but for her compassion for vulnerable populations.”
As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), PCHC’s Board of Directors serves as its governing body, responsible for financial oversight, strategic planning, defining mission and services, and ensuring compliance with legal and financial requirements, among other responsibilities.
