PCHC to Break Ground on Hope House Improvements May 13th
Bangor, Maine – Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) is pleased to announce that it will break ground on the Hope House Health & Living Center renovations project at 2:30pm on Tuesday, May 13th at 179 Indiana Avenue, Bangor. Local, state and national leaders, as well as local contractors working on the project and the many donors who made this project possible, will join PCHC Leadership for the ground breaking.

Details: PCHC breaks ground on renovations that will increase safety and improve quality of life for people using Hope House services and for the neighboring community.
Renovations will increase safety and improve quality of life for people using Hope House services and for the neighboring community. Renovations include expanded clinical space and a proposed new shelter entrance, bridging the emergency shelter and transitional housing as the Hope House Health & Living Center strives to help guests improve the quality of their health and their life through increased health care services and coordination of care. A new emergency shelter entrance will provide much needed space and safety improvements that will enhance the intake process and provide a safe environment for both the staff and the guests who require the services of the emergency shelter.
About Hope House Health & Living Center
The Hope House Health & Living Center provides a safe place to sleep for approximately 800 people a year, as well as medical and behavioral health care, substance abuse treatment, and resources to achieve stability and self-sufficiency. With a recovery focused model, including on-site integrated health care, medication management, therapy, groups, and case management, as well as transitional housing, the Hope House provides emergency shelter to our most vulnerable in our city and is a community safety net in the Bangor area.
