PCHC Dental Center Graduates Residents and Welcomes New
PCHC is pleased to announce that four new General Practice Dental Residents have joined PCHC Dental Center, under the direction of Philip Higgins, Jr., DMD, Chief Dental Officer and General Practice Residency Director. The residents are fully licensed dentists who have chosen to participate in an additional year of training at an accredited Dental Center.
General Practice Dental Residents Robert Atwell, DDS, Andrew Lam, DMD, Elyse Patrella, DDS, and Phillip Claassen, DMD joined PCHC on June 22nd. PCHC is graduating Natalie Sigwart, DDS, Peter Levandoski, DMD, Owen Johnson, DDS, and Mark Franklin, DDS from the General Practice Dental Residency at a ceremony on June 25th. PCHC began the General Practice Dental Residency Program in 2009 to address the dental workforce shortage in Maine and to attract qualified dental professionals to the area. The program has proven successful and a number of graduates have joined PCHC full-time or have stayed to practice in Maine.
