PCHC Welcomes Three New Providers
PCHC welcomed three new this week, as Erika Wentworth, PMHNP, Annie Powers, MD and Dale Walker, MD all started on Monday.
Wentworth, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, joined Penobscot Community Health Center after most recently working at Acadia Hospital in Bangor. Wentworth has spent much of her career in Maine, including a stint at Cary Medical Center in Caribou. She holds a B.S.N. (summa cum laude) from University of Maine Fort Kent, and MSN from Husson University.
Powers is stationed at Penobscot Pediatrics, after spending the last eight years with Northern Light Pediatric. She holds a BA in biology from Colby College, and journeyed west for medical school training in Utah, earning a D.Phil in Oncological Sciences and later, MD from the University of Utah. Powers is an accomplished medical researcher and author with many published abstracts and papers.
Walker joins the Community Care and Geriatrics team, having most recently served as Medical Director for Island Nursing Home on Deer Isle. He has also served as medical director of Seaport Healthcare, Ross Manor, Stillwater Healthcare, Eastside Rehabilitation and Penobscot Nursing Home. With a BA and MD from Boston University, Walker was a U.S. Navy medical officer before returning to family medicine in Maine.
